I've been CASUALLY playing dragon age 2 for the last week, and by that I mean that none of my sessions were longer than a few hours, I didn't stay up all night or play constantly for days on end. But even with my low level of gameplay I still managed to complete it in less than a week. The story never really gets going before you find yourself at the, surprisingly easy and not very well thought out, final battle. Just as you think you're getting into the story, it ends. Has any-one else been frustrated at how short and, at times, confusing the story was??Is any-one else incredibly disappointed with dragon age 2?
I'm still not finished it after playing for 40+ hours - yes I do every side quest available ..... I was initially disappointed with things like my rogue moving so fast i couldn't really see what they were doing in a fight and also not being able to dress up my party - but the more i play it the more I love it - my guys are pretty highly ranked now and the animations from spells etc are fantastic ... the game has taken an immense bashing from people who expected a faithful follow on from Origins (me included!) but taking it as a game in its own right I think its great - YES I'd love a true DA:O follow on and calling this DA2 is misleading but no way does it deserve zero out of 10 that it frequently gets on sites like Metacritic. Did you just do the main missions that you did it so quickly? I'm playing on normal and the reviews I've seen say at that level it will take about 40 - 50 hours to complete.
Dragon Age 2 has the same feel, and is just as dissapointing as FF X-2 was to FF X.
Extremely dissapointed..... no exploring, no great main story line.... just side quest after side quest mission running! Bioware got very lazy with this. Has anyone even mentioned how all the "warehouses", "caves", "mansions" all had the same layout! I mean really, what a bunch of lazy developers......
I have not recommended this game to anyone that loves the first and I sure wont be buying the third.
Complete crap!Is any-one else incredibly disappointed with dragon age 2?
I admit that the game feels more like a series of almost meaningless side quests rather than following a thought out plot. Also, the obvious side quests feel more interesting than the plot line anyway, so what is the overall point of its structure?
I find it disappointing.
Eh i really dont have anything to say about it cuz i saw tht coming , like how its all set up and everythingIs any-one else incredibly disappointed with dragon age 2?
Actually I was more disappointed with Dragon Age Origins. It had a poor story, forgettable characters and everything about the game was clich茅. I was pleasantly surprised with DA2. They had the balls to give this high fantasy series a story about political conflicts and family. They took the few interesting bits from Origins and made the story about that.
I don't think the story is confusing at all. It's actually very simple. The strength of the plot is that it's more emotionally involving. In origins we followed a character without personality or any interesting trait whatsoever who got caught up in a story that wasn't theirs. In DA2 we follow a character who does have a story, who does have personality and who just wants to make a name for himself and in the process becomes the most important character in the Dragon Age setting. Origins lacked heart, DA2 makes up for that.
