Dragon Age Origins for xbox360?

I mostly wanna know how the gameplay is for the game, I see on videos that for fighting you just push a button and then it attacks for you until the enemies dead. Does this ever get boring? What are the pros and cons about the gameDragon Age Origins for xbox360?
Never played Knights of the Old Republic?

The Semi-turned based combat is inspired by Dungeons and Dragons combat. Where every attack is decided by "dice-rolls" that take into consideration your character stats to determine attack effectiveness.

This type of combat emphasizes strategy and tactics rather than brute forced mashing on the attack button until enemies crumble under your flurry of repetitive attacks (A la Oblivion), and instead focus on the use of your abilities to sway combat in your favor. Group composition is extremely important. And there does exist friendly fire. Don't go thinking you can cast an explosive fireball right at your friends who are surrounded by enemies. You'll explode your friends too. Simple mistakes or misuse of abilities WILL cause you to die!

Speaking mostly from the PC version, the combat is very difficult. (I've played the console version and it's alot easier than it is on PC. Of course the difficulty can be increased to match the difficulty on PC.) Tactics are absolutely necessary to overcome combat, and alot of thought should be put forth on your combat approach. Don't even think about pushing one button and letting the game auto attack until you win. It won't work. It just won't. Pushing one button and letting the game take care of the rest will get you nowhere, and WILL get you killed. Especially on the PC version or on harder difficulties.

The game is quite challenging and can really make your brain work hard to think about how to win your fights. Enemies mix their ranks, classes, strengths and weaknesses often and you must adapt to the ever changing attack patterns. It was quite a reward to successfully beat the game. The expansions and most of the DLC's are great as well. The Golems of Amgarrak DLC is one of the most challenging subplots I've ever played in a long time. I love to be challenged, and I love to feel rewarded for my tactical decisions.

It's an oldschool RPG throwback essentially. Akin to older Bioware games such as Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and KOTOR. As a bigtime RPG gamer myself, I couldn't ask for anything more.Dragon Age Origins for xbox360?
it does get a little boring having just to push one button the fact is you need to change out spells and pay close attention if you are playing it on a real difficulty because otherwise pushing that one button will get you killed and it will get you killed fast dragon age is a great game on consoles it takes along time to beat the story is good and you have alot of fun with it i highly recomend it for the 360 especiallyDragon Age Origins for xbox360?
i thought this was a great game.as for fighting, you need to go into the menu and configure what you want each character to do.as you level up you add more spaces to put in different things they can do or different moves they can do.im still playing around with the fighting system,i think it takes some getting used to.you can check out gamefaqs and game guides to get a better idea of the system.hope this helps.good luck in dragon age origins.http://www.gamefaqs.com/ and http://guides.gamepressure.com/
