if you play as a rogue or a warrior you'll keep bethany but carver will die
if you play as a mage you'll keep carver but bethany will die

Play as a mage - but the girl dies though. IF you play as a warrior then carver dies, but if you play as a mage then the girl dies.

Play the game as mage class. One of them has to die if your a mage it is Bethany that dies.
